WHAT IS THE REFLECTIONS PROGRAM?

Reflections is a nation-wide program promoting self-expression, artistic literacy, increased confidence and a love for life-long learning that helps students become more successful in both school and in life. The program focuses on positive recognition instead of competition and students can enjoy the benefits of creative expression, regardless of ability. Over the past 50 years, the program has grown to become one of the largest of its kind in the country with over 300,000 students participating annually across the six entry divisions. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The Reflections program is open to all Prairie Trail students that have at least one person from their primary household that is a current member of PTEPTA, as per Texas PTA Reflections guidelines. Memberships for the 2024-25 school year will go on sale August 1st. Not a member? It's not too late to join. (2024-2025 memberships go on sale August 1, 2024)

HOW DO YOU ENTER?

Each year, the National PTA selects a theme. The 2024-2025 school year theme is "Accepting Imperfections". To enter, students complete a work of art around the theme in one of the listed categories.

Online submission accessible starting August 5, 2024.

🎀 Plus, they'll receive a ribbon, a free ice cream coupon from Handel's, and a free art class certificate from Mission: Renaissance Fine Art Classes!
🏅 Winners will be awarded medals to celebrate their amazing achievements!

In 2023-2024 each Prairie Trail Reflections participant and 2 friends were invited to attend a Glow Party! All entries were also showcased in the PTE Texan Star newsletter and on social media. Advancing students received additional recognition on the daily announcements and at a special district awards ceremony.
