Jingle Bell Jog 2020

It’s that time again! We are preparing for our 25th Annual Jingle Bell Jog on December 11th. This year will look a little different for many reasons. For the past 24 years, Coach Steve Telaneus and the Marcus Cross Country Team have joined us for the jog and have been excellent role models for our students. Unfortunately, this year we will not be able to have any guests join us, including the cross country team and parents. Many of you are aware that Coach T. passed away last spring. What a legacy he left for his students, athletes and all of us at Prairie Trail. We are all disappointed and heart broken, but decided to carry on the tradition. I know without a doubt, that he would want the Jingle Bell Jog to continue. He loved bringing the team over to inspire, motivate and build relationships with our kids. Hopefully, next year we can continue the tradition with the Marcus Cross Country Team. 

This means our students will be running with their grade level as usual, with the girls running first, while the boys cheer them on. Then, the boys will run with the girls cheering them on. We will not be serving Gatorade this year, but will have individual water bottles available after they run. 

Virtual Students

We encourage virtual students to run with us by running a JBJ on their own at their convenience. Our 1st and 2nd graders run about a quarter of a mile while our 3rd-5th graders run a half-mile.
