Prairie Trail hosts a week-long celebration of Colleges and Careers, promoting the value of education and providing students with the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of careers. In conjunction with and under the direction of our school counselor, Mrs. Jones, the PTA helps organize several activities. In the past, this has included the very popular Careers on Wheels event where community members that use vehicles as part of their day to day jobs bring a vehicle to the school and talk to the classes about what they do.
This year, our students were able to tour a Blue Bell Ice Cream truck and get up close to a D.E.A. helicopter that landed in the school yard, giving students an opportunity to check out the cool machinery and hear from the officers that use the chopper in their line of work. Stay tuned for what we are helping to bring to your students for 2020/2021!
