Valentine's Day Class Parties

Traditionally, our PTA hosts class parties for the entire school two times each year- once for the Holiday season in December and again in February for Valentine's Day.  Normally, each grade comes together to celebrate in the gym with games, activities and treats.  Due to the COVID pandemic and associated protocols, this year things have been adjusted and revamped to allow for all appropriate safety measures and item quarantines.

FOR IMPORTANT DATES & FIRM DEADLINES, READ THIS FULL MESSAGE!

This year, the Valentine's Day parties will take place on Friday, February 12th.  The PTA will be providing each student with a white gift bag to decorate, a treat, and craft.  

Students will be having a Valentine exchange with their classmates.  A small candy or treat may be attached to each Valentine.  Examples include a sucker, small box of nerds, Fun Dip, pencil, eraser, gel pen, etc.  If your student is personalizing their valentines, please make sure they are labeled with the recipient's name on the outside of any envelopes.  Otherwise, they will be dropped in their classmates' bags at random.  If sealing envelopes, a sticker or small piece of tape is a great way to close them.

IN Person

If your children attend class in person, they will be having a Valentine's Day party in their classroom on February 12th.

What can be sent in? 

Students may bring in valentines for their classmates.  This year, there will be no Valentine Boxes.  Instead, each student will be given a small white gift bag to decorate.  You may send in bag decorating supplies for your student to share with their classmates.  Look for further information from your teacher and/or room rep.

When must things be sent in? 

January 29th- all bag decorating supplies are due to your child's classroom

February 5th- Valentines for Valentine Exchange are due

Virtual

Virtual classes will also have the opportunity to celebrate on Friday, February 12th.  

What can be sent in? 

Students may bring Valentine's to the school to exchange with their classmates.  The office will quarantine all items before compiling bags for each student.  Bags will then be quarantined again before distribution takes place.

When must things be sent in? 

February 1st & 2nd- drop off Valentine's for classmates at the school, boxes will be out front of the school to drop items in. 

NO VALENTINES WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER FEBRUARY 2ND.

February 9th- Party in a Bag Pickup

12:30-2PM and 4:30-6PM

Please make plans to pick up your child's bag from the school on Tuesday, February 9th.

PTA will be hosting a drive thru party pickup at the main entrance of the school.  Please enter the driveway off of Timbercreek and pull up to the front of the school.
